Hawks and eagles fly over on their way to the river just beyond the woods behind the towering screen. Before the movies, you can throw a football around with your kids. It’s cheap and they have a snack bar straight out of some 1950s teenage rebellion flick set in Texas. Friday and Saturday nights, they show two current features here starting around dark. It’s a straight shot throwback to another era. The flea market is going down at this old drive-in theater. It’s the only indication that something really bad happened here not long ago. A simple sign on someone’s front lawn says ‘We Love Our PSP’. It’s such a bright morning here: the idea of deer rifles and death seems so far away as we hang the right at the bottom of the hill. I think it’s the only way you can be at that age. The trooper that was murdered was 29 years old. I keep wondering if anyone was watching from their kitchen window. It was pretty much the only ending on the menu at that point. In the end, he wounded one senior trooper and killed another younger one before they cornered him against a row of trees by someone’s house. Later in the afternoon, he led the authorities on a wild goose chase down country roads. We get off the exit of the highway and pass the State Police barracks where a guy started shooting at parked cop cars last month. The land here, along the formidable Juniata River - as she eases towards the vast Susquehanna, then rolls southbound into the Chesapeake Bay - it is ancient and rocky and wild and creepy. The soybean fields are green Volkswagen traffic jams as far as the eye can see.įarmers raise their eyes to the skies and thank God. The ride down there is lovely the Juniata Valley is lush now the early summer drought of June having been bashed in the head by somebody somewhere doing some kind of intense rain dance. We are going to peddle her creative wares, but there is a real possibility (read that: guarantee) that I will wander/ and seek/ and peruse. Sinead O’Connor This past Saturday morning, me and Arle get up early to go to the flea market. “You must not try to be too pure, you must fly closer to the sea.”

While the build choice is very important for an MF character, there's something even more crucial - appropriate Magic Finding Gear. Because of this, having a dedicated MF Character is a great idea - the most recommended option is a Blizzard Sorc, but there are quite a few alternatives as well. Magic Finding is a big part of Diablo 2 Resurrected. It allows you to make money or simply farm for your desired gear all by yourself. This is where D3 got it wrong because they thought lets just take away that player decision making because their logic was you’re only going to want more killing power and we’ll just increase the difficulty infinitely proportionally to the magic find built-in.ĭ3 design thought that simplicity was making the game better when an aRPG needs complexity.Diablo 2 Resurrected The Best Items for Magic Find So why is better to have magic find in a closed difficulty system like in D2? Because this is an aRPG where the main part of playing this type of genre of game is about making those decisions on how to gear. This is what this genre of game is about, that is the game, its making those decisions for yourself, not having the devs tell you “well we’ll just let you focus on more killing power and we’ll automatically increase magic find with the difficulty”, they’re taking away what is a part of the arpg genre, the decision making in weighing out your itemization choices. That extra 5% Legendary find that a Nagel ring gives you may not be worth giving up power and utility.Īnd this is why magic find worked in a non-infinite difficulty system because putting on magic find was a choice you made knowing that you were sacrificing damage and/or survivability for increased difficulty and increased reward chances. If you can very quickly farm the highest Torment Rifts then, sure, you can try to wear MF gear, but it won’t help a lot. *Farming efficiently and quickly means more chances for loot to drop, so you have more chances of getting something you want. *Higher Torment levels also increase your Legendary find. *Rifts have 100% buff to Legendary find (100% means your chances are doubled) What is much more effective is playing the game in a way that it ups your Legendary drop rates. Of course, if you have more Legendary items, you have more chances for one to be Ancient or Primal. It only impacts the chance for a Legendary to drop. MF does not impact Ancient or Primal chances at all. *10% better chance to find Legendary items *30% better chance to fine Rare Gear (Yellow) *100% better chance to find Magic Gear (Blues) MF on gear was nerfed to the ground long ago.
