As a number of secrets come to the fore, violence becomes a factor while the two plan their revenge, although the uncle may not be exactly an ally to the girl, neither a good guy, overall. Ip-sae does not know what to do of him and his erratic behaviour, but soon warms up to him, even spending time with him watching porn on TV, one of his favorite 'endeavors' as it seems. One day, however, a strange man of almost no words arrives at her house, and is soon revealed to be her uncle who has just been released from prison. A number of young boys from a band use her room as a studio to rehearse songs she seems to hate, the neighbors do not lose any chance to belittle her, while Ja-yeong actually bullies her, at least when she is not having loud sex with another guy supposedly there to help Ip-sae. However, the people who are supposed to take care of her are not good to her, the exact opposite in fact. Meanwhile, Ray starts to develop feelings for a young girl named Scarlett O'Hara. The protagonist of the film is Ip-sae, a 19-year-old girl who cannot move from the waist down, and seems to have no family, thus is completely dependent on her neighbors and a female social worker named Ja-yeong. Indeed, the O'Hara people soon take over the Great Exhibition and turn it into a veritable circus for weapons dealers. Ray later discovers that his dad and grandfather are located inside of the pavilion his dad, Eddie, has become mesmerized by O'Hara and subject to their whims, while Lloyd suspects that O'Hara may want to use the balls for nefarious purposes, and tries to put a definitive end to those plans. As it happens, several of these little balls run the O'Hara pavilion, a massive, mobile fortress. A gadget-happy British lad named Ray (voice of Anna Paquin) receives a mysterious package from his grandfather Lloyd Steam (Patrick Stewart) - a tiny ball that turns out to be an engine toting immense power. It's the Industrial Age in England, reimagined, and various and sundry inventors and scientists are arriving in Britain to hawk their products while capitalism rears its ugly head. Katsuhiro Otomo, director of the groundbreaking anime feature Akira (1988), returns with this visually striking fusion of the past and the future.
